So much to do and see

County Durham is steeped in history and enjoys excellent walking in the AONB North Pennines. There are local public footpaths linking us to some historic and attractive walks including the famous Brusselton incline which can now be walked directly from Eden Grange.

Enjoy walking on the old track bed where the dandy carts were hauled by horse as a precursor to the birth of the steam locomotive.

The amazing Kynren live action show is a short drive.

Visit historic Durham city with it’s ancient cathedral and castle.

Auckland Castle, home of the Prince Bishops is highly recommended with it’s beautiful Deer Park and sumptious interiors.

Eden Grange is an ideal base for exploring local attractions, being just a 20-minute walk from the Locomotion railway museum and a short drive to the historic city of Durham.

We boast 3 very well stocked ponds and you are welcome to book in for a day’s fishing at any point during your stay with us. Pitches 4 – 8 are located close to the fishing ponds.

We booked this as an electric pitch with hot tub and it was fantastic! We were the first to use the pitch and would definitely recommend it. The hot tub was in a secluded hut so parked the van in front of the doors which felt more private. The site is family run who were all friendly and welcoming with a bar/restaurant serving enough food options and a take away menu. We’ll be going back!
